FAQs
How do I become an Accredited Investor with CityLife Residential?
Accredited Investors must meet one of the following:
- Have an annual income of at least $200,000 (or $300,000 for joint income) for the past two years, with the expectation of the same income or higher in the current year.
- Have a net worth exceeding $1 million dollars, either individually or jointly with a spouse, excluding the value of your primary residence.
- Be a “knowledgeable employee” of a private fund.
- Be a financial professional who has Series 7, Series 65 or Series 82 financial securities licenses.
Once you’ve determined that you meet one of these requirements, the next step is to provide documentation to verify your accredited investor status.
How do I provide documentation to verify my Accredited Investor Status?
Verification can be provided via a signed letter from a Licensed Professional or via 3rd-party Verification Service.
With regard to the signed Letter from a Licensed Professional, you may have a certified public account, licensed lawyer, SEC-registered investment adviser, or registered broker-dealer provide a signed letter verifying that you or your entity is an accredited investor.
If it is easier to utilize a 3rd party verification service, VerifyInvestor.com, parallelmarkets.com, and investready.com are all third-party verification services which can assist you in obtaining your signed verification letter.
